According to an article from Gazette Day, attorney Jeremy Goldstein held an event called “Mental Illness: You Are not ‘A Rhone” to raise money for the Fountain House organization. Tickets costed about 5 grand each as proceeds will be going towards the organization that assists people suffering from mental illnesses. The event had wine and dinner for all attendees. The Fountain House was formed in the year 1944 in a mission to help others who were dealing with a mental illness. The irony of it being named the Fountain House is because the group purchased a building with a huge fountain, so that ended up becoming the organization’s name. Mental health continues to become a big topic across the world today as many will struggle with some mental illness at some point in their life. Some ways that the organization helps these individuals is by providing them education while teaching vital skills needed in the workplace followed by accommodated housing. The organization has also partnered with others including a conference with Healthier Longer Lives for People with Serious Mental Illness with accredited professionals.
