Kisling Nestico & Redick Aim To Reduce Personal Injuries In Their Community

Kisling Nestico & Redick’s reputations preceeds them in their surrounding community as the law firm is far more then just a law firm in their community. While they are known to relentlessly stand up to the insurance companies for victims of personal injury they are also at work in their community with a mission to prevent hardships.

The Kisling Nestico & Redick law firm understand that real charity starts at home and that is why they have developed a number of initiatives in their community including its KNR Cares About Kids campaign which the personal injury law firm has invested remarkable efforts in reducing the number of primary causes to personal injuries such as bicycle accidents where the rider wasn’t wearing a helmet.

It may seem strange that the most powerful personal injury law firm is partially undermining it’s own business by preventing future injuries but once you understand Kisling Nestico & Redick’s passion for fighting for injury victims, you can understand that there is a bigger picture that the law firm seeks to achieve that comes with all of their success in the courtroom.

There is no better example of how the law firm seeks to achieve something greater then its own success then the YMCA of Greater Toledo publicly announcing that Kisling Nestico & Redick had just donated 500 bike helmets that would be going to the children who participated in it’s summer camp at the YMCA Child Development Center. The law firm knows that if all kids wore a helmet while riding their bikes, that the amount of head injuries would be reduced by about 45,000 cases every year in the United States alone and hopes that their generous gift to the children would not only reduce head injury cases in their community but would also set an example to other children to wear a helmet while riding their bikes as well.

Another initiative that Kisling Nestico & Redick have developed that stands directly in the way of it’s own business interests is it’s highly aggressive push to get young people across Ohio to stop letting themselves be distracted while driving. Many recent studies are showing how much more dangerous it is to text and drive then it is to drive intoxicated. Over 1.6 million accidents each year are direct results of texting and driving with 400,000 of those annual accidents resulting in person injuries.

Injuries that the law firm could see as profitability opportunities yet their initiative regarding this matter is KNR’s Stop Distracted Driving Scholarship which is a $5,000 scholarship awarded to the high-school student that creates the best proposal for reducing driving distracted among their peers.

Other charitable activities that Kisling Nestico & Redick have participated in include the annual Portage Lakes Polar Bear Jump which raised large sums of money for local charities. This year alone, the KNR team featured over 40 participants and raised $30,000. As a participant in the event for it’s sixth year, Kisling Nestico & Redick has raised over $138,000 in total which has been used for the Akron-Canton Regional Food bank. The Akron-Canton Regional Food bank published the fact that it’s per-meal cost is now around $.25 per meal which significantly puts a huge dent in hunger throughout all of the Akron region.

An aspect of poverty that Kisling Nestico & Redick believe doesn’t get addressed enough is the amount of children that don’t have decent clothing or enough clothing in general. While welfare programs at the federal and state levels have eliminated the most serious consequences of poverty throughout the United States such as children having to resort to wearing rags for clothes, total lack of shelter and starvation, KNR sees the effect it can have on a disadvantaged child to not have decent clothes.

Disadvantaged kids are often outcasts from the rest of the kids around them because of the clothes they have, simply because their parents just cant afford them. It is rare in our country to see a child have to wear rags or not have any shoes but Kisling Nestico & Redick see how buying a disadvantaged child a brand new pair of Nikes has a profound effect on how the child feels about themselves especially when all that they have ever had is worn-out tennis shoes and used clothing.

Kisling Nestico & Redick recently took many disadvantaged kids that were involved in the local Big Brothers Big Sisters program in their community on a shopping spree to buy them all brand new shoes, shorts, shirts and dresses for the first time in their lives as a part of another one of their initiatives called KNR Cares About Kids.
